DIGIMUSE Enter Project

DIGIMUSE ENTER builds on the experience of a previous small-scale project (led by Fondazione Genti d'Abruzzo in collaboration with IHF and IWS), which laid the groundwork for a European network of small museums and compiled best practices on using digital solutions to enhance cultural accessibility and inclusion.

During this phase, engagement with small museums across the EU highlighted a critical need for specialized training in digital solutions to foster inclusion and accessibility. However, a significant digital skills gap among operators threatens the efficient use of allocated funds. Despite the increasing adoption of digital tools, over half of cultural institutions have yet to implement staff training initiatives, an issue that persists across Europe.

The results developed during the Digimuse project can be consulted on Fondazione Genti d'Abruzzo website.

DIGIMUSE ENTER aims to expand the impact of its predecessor by broadening its scope, developing new outcomes, and increasing its reach. The project directly engages its target audience, which includes not only small museums but also local cultural operators, professionals, organizations, and associations managing community access points to culture. It seeks to support these actors in overcoming physical, economic, and social barriers that hinder citizens' engagement with cultural heritage.

By implementing a structured and integrated system of cost-effective, sustainable, and adaptable digital technologies, DIGIMUSE ENTER will contribute to making cultural spaces more inclusive and accessible. Leveraging digital tools for educational purposes will strengthen knowledge acquisition and enhance the active learning experience for all visitors.
